The Lago Norte House, designed by the Brazilian studio CoDa Arquitectos, stands out for its white box shape floating on a concrete base. This facade is composed of multiple white curved panels, each in a different direction. The immaculate white is also contrasted by a band of thin windows upstairs, placed to bring sufficient natural brightness while maintaining privacy on the street.
The main idea of the project was to contrast the upper part with the lower part of the residence, as if two independent universes. While we contrast the outside and the inside, we get the ground floor which is more open and integrated. A vast space with raw materials and where the different heights delimit the living spaces. We love the kitchen that can be opened onto the living room with sliding panels. The terrace, with its beautiful pool, is an integral part of the living space with fully retractable windows.
As for the decor, the ceilings are made of concrete, the tones are neutral except for a few touches of sunny yellow as on the front door which stands outs from the rest of the interior. We also love the the stairs that bring structure and rhythm. The upper floor is configured as an apartment inside the house, a space developed for relaxation where privacy and silence are valued.
A contemporary home with a discreet design, the wonderful Lago Norte House.
