Gucci invades the archaeological site of Selinunte, in Sicily

It’s the sumptuous decor of the Selinunte in Sicily that was invaded by the joyous creatures born in the imagination of Alessandro Michele, creative director for Gucci. Serving as the background for the pre-fall 2019 ad campaign, the archeological and temple ruin site were taken over by a troupe of eclectic bohemians. Gucci wanted to evoke an antique symposium here, where meetings followed banquets and where people came together to play music, dance, listen to poetry recitals and engage in long conversations.
